Close to the stove a set of small saucepans of different size hangs on rust -proof hooks -together with pan- cake lifter, spatula and the small utensils which we require when work- ing at the stove. Like the contributor of this household suggestion, we keep in our cupboards, closets and cabinet only the utensils that are occasionally used. I often found it inconvenient when 1 was busy in the kitchen or pantry :o have always to go to the flour bin, sugar jar, spice cans, etc,, when in need of only a sprinkling or spoonful of one of these ingredients. I found a way to save labor. I selected a number of small jars with screw tops on them and, with a screw nail (of medium size) I put holes in the lids. I use these little jars to hold small amounts of flour, fruit sugar, -icing :;ugar, spices, crackersor bread crumbs, salt, mustard, etc. I have pasted on each a small strip of adhesive taps on which I have written in India Ink the name of the food which the jar contains. I have placed them con- veniently on a shelf where I can reach `?!,ni without stepping from my work `able. POULTRY MARKET Toronto, April 30th. On this frame are hunt/ the egg 'beaters, a set of MW32E spoons, knives of several SIZOA,n, the kitchen scissors, cooking thermome- ters, stewers and numerous utensils that are used almost every day. Close Q,, the kitchen cabinet another frame holds a set of graters, strainers and "cutters" for foods of all descrip- tion.
