Died In Brussels.—The death oc-
curred at his home in Brussels on
Sunday last of Mr. Alexander Smith,
for a great many years one of the
best known and most highly respect-
ed residents of this township. Mr.
Smith bad reached the good age of 86
years, and had only been ill two weeks
previous to his death. Bor-n in Scot-
land, the son of the late Robt. Smith,
he came to Canada with his parents
when a boy, and the greater part of
his life was spent on the, 12th and
18th Concessions of Hullett, where he
resided until some fifteen years ago,

married, his first wife being Miss
Janet Watt, of Hullett, and his sec-
