How Is This For An Egg?—The
Expositor has recorded many record
eggs in its time, but this week we
have one that is in a class by itself.
It was brought in by Mr. I. Hudson,
of the Silverwood Store, and was de-
livered to him by one of his cus-
tomers. The egg was laid by a Rock
hen, and measured 3x31/4 inches, and
is the smallest hen's egg that has
ever been seen in Seaforth.

Annual Agricultural Statistics, 1927.
—In connection with the celebration
this year of the Diamond Jubilee, the
Dominion Bureau of Statistics is
making a special effort to obtain a
larger response from farmers through
the medium of the usual cardboard
schedule issued in June to the rural
schools. These schedules call for
areas in field crops and numbers
of live stock on hand in June, 1927.
Farmers should make early rettirns
on these schedules as the inforthettion
can only be of comparative value un-
less complete. This information is of
special interest this year as July 1st
marks sixty years of Canadian pro-
gress. since Confederation.

The Seaforth Races.—Seaforth Turf
Club has put the finishing touches on
their race track and it is now in finest
condition for the races, Wednesdy,
June 15th. Most everyone likes °-to
see a good, clean horse race and in
offering $1.200 in purses the Direc-
tors have counted on the support of
the general public. After the races
at Walkerton on Thursday and Pres-
ton on Saturday, the horses will come
to Seaforth, every stall at the track
being spoken for already. This means
that every race will be well filled and
the public guaranteed a good after-
noon's clean sport. Officials for the
meet will he: Starter, Stanley Burns,
Palmerston; judges, William Martyn,
Mitchell; George Muldoen, Brussels,
and Frank Taylor, Exeter; timers,
John W. Smith, Goderich; Williani
Ament and J. F. Daly, Seaforth. The
races will be held under auspices of
Hamilton Driving and Athletic As-
sociation.
Smilestones.—An onusuallY •clever
performance which will bePresented
under the auspices of the Seafotth
Lions' Club in Cardno's Hall, June
17th, will be one of the roost delight-
ful events of the year. It was or-
ganized by the Daughters of the Em-
pire, Goderich, and has played to two
capacity houses in Goderich, and is
booked for a third appearance. It
will also be presented in Exeter,
Wingham, etc. Those familiar in
musical circles assure us that Gode-
rich possesses an abundance of high-
ly_trained talent and that they all
appear on the programme. The per-
formance carries us with intensely
irteresting pleasure through the dear
old songs, interesting dances and
quaint costumes of our grandmthers;
the once popular hits in songs, dances
and styles of our mothers, and the
last word in song, dance and fancy
dress of to -day. Booth Tarkington's
clever play, "A Night in Sicily," de-
lightfully fills the second part, to-
gether with an amusing musical char-
actee sketch of outstanding merit.
The funds will -be used to carry on
the work at Lions Park and Swim-
ming Pool. The show is good; the
cause is worthy; the charge is reason-
able, and you will smile at every
Smilestone.
Egmondville.—On Monday evening,
