VICTORIA
SYN of CATE
The Company's properties are located about three-
quarters of a mile west of the eastern boundary and a lit-
tle north of the east and west centre line of Boischatel
Township, Quebec.
They comprise a total area of approximately 1640 acres
and are situated on the main break extending westward
from the Noranda and are adjacent to such well known
properties as Amulet, Huronia Belt Co., Victoria Syndi-
cate (Mond Nickel Interests), Miller Boischatel, Consoli-
dated Mining and Smelting Co., Alderson McKay, and
Tonopah Mining Co., all of which are located on this same
break westward through Boischatel Township.
A dip needle and magnetometer survey was recently
made by the Company's Consulting Mining Geologist and
Engineer, Mr. Charles Spearman, B.Sc., M.A., of the main
group of approximately six hundred acres with the result
that three large ore bodies on this group were disclosed.
This survey is being followed by trenching and surface
work in preparation for diamond drilling and a further
intensive development campaign. From present indica-
tions the prospects are exceedingly bright for the Com-
pany's properties proving of immense value. The En-
gineer's report is on file at our Office. '
The main road passes through the centre of this prop-
erty which will. greatly facilitate transportation of ma-
chinery, etc. The power transmission line being erected
by the Northern Ontario Power 'Co. and the projected,
railway line of the T. & N. 0. Railway from the Ontario
boundary into Rouyn also crosses the property.
Work is going steadily ahead on the three properties
by a large erew of men and assays show value at 15.61 per
cent. copper, an exceedingly gratifying result., The fol-
lowing extract from the Financial Post is of interest: --
"Favorable results are being obtained Yon the property of
Rouyn Boischatel Development • Co, in Boischatel Tp.
Trenching and stripping has disclosed a large mineralized
zone and practically throughout. the length of these
trenches good copper mineralization occurs, while two
areas of almost massive chalcopyrite were found. Sample
assays show -15.61 p'br cent. copper, with satisfactory gold
values and traces of silver. The engineer reports that
the conditions for deposition are favorable for large ore
bodies in this zone."
The mineral resources of Northwestern Quebec have
already created many fortunes for those who had cour-
age to get in on the ground floor. The original holders
of the syndicate developing Noranda saw their $100 par
value stock clim i to over $1800 per share, then to be split
$100 for one with the new stock selling over $19.00 per
share or on the basis of over $1900 for their old stock, a
profit of $1800 for every $Y00 invested.
Similar instances could •be cited regarding many other
properties, such as Waite Montgomery, Towagmac, Al-
derson MacKay, etc. 'We believe that this Company hav-
ing an unusually large acreage and being well located
offers an equal chance for quick profit.
