EURON NOTES
-By arrangement between the
Brussels Town Ceuncil and the Coun-
ty Good Roads Committee, work was
commenced this week on re -surfacing
Turnberry street, north and south.
The stone crusher has been placed in
the limestone quarry near the• mill
dam and the good work -is progress-
ing.
-Elizabeth Alma Ring, wife of
John Bateman, a well known resident
of Brussels, passed away at her home
on Alexander Street, in her 68th year,
Deceased underwent a critical opera-
tion early last spring and had been a
great sufferer ever since. Inter•rnent
was made in Brussels Cemetery, ser-
vices being conducted by her pastor,
Rev. C. F. Clarke, of the Methodist
church.
-A very pretty wedding took place
on the 14th concession of Hay, on
Thursday, September 28th, at 4 p.m.,
when Miss Hilda, second daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Schumaker, was
united in marriage to Mr. Wnr. Haugh,
second son of Mr. and Mrs. John
Haugh. The ceremony was perform-
ed by Rev. Graupner, of Dashwood.
-The funeral of Mrs. John Sweet,
of Exeter, took place Sunday after-
noon to the Exeter Cemetery:. Tho
deceased, who was in her 88th year,
had been a lifelong resident of that
district. She is survived by one son
and two daughters, Miss Charlotte
and Miss Louise, in Exeter. -
-Mr. G. B. Harris, who has been
with the Clinton Knitting' Company
as superintendent for the past ten
.years, has resigned his position and
leaves for Guelph, where he takes a
position with the. Lander hosiery
people. Mr. Harris is thoroughly
interested in the hosiery business and
-has invented a needle, which it is
'thought, will prove a boon to hosiery
manufacturers when it is finally per-
fected and put on the market.
-A pleasant surprise was tendered
to Miss Marguerite Carriere, at the
Manse, Grand Bend, on Wednesday
'evening, when the girls of the "Ona -
away Class" of the Presbyterian church
;gathered to bid farewell to their
:friend and classmate. The a -ening
was pleasantly spent in games and
music, after which the girls served a
dainty lunch. During the course of
the evening Marguerite was presented
with a nicely worded address and -a
silver cream and sugar set. In a few
well-chosen words she thanked the
'girls for their remembrance and the
-kindly thought that prompted it./
Miss Carriere will be greatly missed
tat Grand Bend, not only by the girls
of her class, but by the whole congre-
gation, and everyone joins in wishing
tier the greatest success when she be-
gins her studies at the Conservatory
of Music in Toronto in October.
-The marriage took place at Gode-
rich on Thursday last of Miss Agnes
D. McDonald, younger daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. John McDonald, and
?2t&. Donald Ross Forrester, son of
the date D. A. Forrester, of Clinton.
The ceremony was performed by the
Rev. R. C. McDermid, of Knox church.
Miss B. Tufford was bridesmaid and
Mr. Leslie Huller, of Clinton, was
',best man.
PANGS OF NEURALGIA
This Painful Trouble is Due to
Poverty of the Blood.
Neuralgia is one of the most pain-
ful maladies that afflicts humanity.
'The trouble is usually seated in the
lace or head, following the course of
some nerve, but it attacks other parts
of the body as well. It is character-
ized by acute pains, sometimes steady,
.at others spasmodic and darting. But
-whatever course it takes the pain is
agonizing and almost unbearable.
Medical authorities agree that neu-
ralgia is due to poverty of the blood
-that the nerves are actually being
starved. It is further agreed that if
the blood is purified and enriched the
'trouble will disappear. It is for this
reason that Dr. Williams' Pink Pills
'have been so successful in treating
•neuralgia. They enrich the blood
•which feeds the starved, aching nerves
:and thus bring relief to the sufferer,
whose general health is also improv-
ed. Proof of the value of these pills
in cases of this kind is given by Mrs.
M. Brown, R.R. No. 1, Warsaw, Ont.,
who says: "I have taken Dr. Williams'
'Pink Pills and can recommend -them
•as being the best medicine I know of
for neuralgia. Two years ago I had
-an attack of this trouble in the neck
and shoulder. The repeated attacks
of the pain were of such frightful in-
tensity that my life was almoAt un-
bearable, I consulted two doctors and
took their medicine but without re-
lief. I had taken Dr. Williams' Pink
'Pills years ago, when they helped me
wonderfully, and I decided to try
hem again. Before I.hhd taken more
an a half dozen boxes the pain had
appeared, and I have since enjoyed
best of health, thanks to Dr. Wil -
s' Pink Pills."
u can get these pills through any
