Union Steck Yards, Toronto, May 2. --With a moderate 'receipt, trade in cattle to -day wee brisk from the start, and prices held steady with Thurdaye strong claee for most alms., with heavy ether a shade stronger. Practically everything .old even with last Monday, fully recovering last week's decline, and the offering was pretty well cleaned up by noon. Top price. for a load was 8% cents, the lot consisting of twenty.Olx head, averaging 1.190 pounds. Throe were real choke butcher cattle, sent in by Frank L. '8firer, Stouffvllle, Ont.. and sold by Dunn and Levaek to the Swift Canadian Co. One 'half load of heavies also made the 8%.t ent mark, and there were loads of heavies up to 8.20 cents, though not 00070,. and there -was no export toying. ,McDonald and Halli- nan 8014 one baby beef weighing 600 pound. whipped 'by R.
