Annual Meeting. --The annual meet- ing of the Seaforth Fire Brigade was held in their rooms on Tuesday even- ing last with a full attendance of members present. The different re- ports presented by the officials, show- ed a successful yt!ar, and the election of officers resulted as follows: Chief, A. R. Bux; foreman, R. G. Parke; assistant foreman, John Cummings; secretary, H. R. Scott; treasurer, G. A. Sills. Seaforth is acknowledged as possessing the best volunteer fire brigade in Ontario. ("\ Hockey. -The ft g'n'lein the Junior 0. H. A. was played in St. Malys un Wednesday night, when Seaforth came out withlthe short end 1' a score of 6-4. The ice was very heavy and real hockey was out of the question, but the game which was a good one, considering that the locals have had no practise on the ice, should not prove a very great disappoint- ment to the local fans. Seaforth has practically the same team that reach- ed the semi-finals last year, and are good to repeat. The next game will be played in the Palace Rink here on Tuesday, January 10th, between Mit- chell and the local boys. GRAN Mr. end A.
