Toronto, November 13. Over 7000 head of cattle were on sale this morning as a result of yesterday's shut down at the market and of the total round 76 per cent. was made up of canners, stockers and very mach of colored butchers. With such an offering it was not surprising that values for canners dropped 75 cents to $1 per 100 lbs., and all coanniontte medium butchers 35 to 50c. For anything with fat c,n. trade was steady s4ong along last week's lines and the best cin the market was •picked up early. Real choice steels were not on offer the best loads this }morning selling front 512 to 313.25; and an- other grade from 512 to 512,50.. Choice but- chers also required a lot of looking for and these for the greater part cashed in from 511 to 11,50. Best bulls and fat cows which were a very limited number met a steady trade but all other grades of killing cattle canners included, were never better than a moderately active to a ,low trade, and a lot of rattle had to be held over. Good stockers and feeders were firm and there were too few Ioada forward to meet the demand. Common Iight' stockers were easier and slow. Best quality milkers were enquired :for and in several casel aold 510 higher than a week ago. , There was a record offering of lambs, and values declined 51 to 51.25 on a slow market. Sheep also were easier. .,Best veals continued scarce and firm. Hoge were reported firm at 518.25, fed and • watered. - Since Saturday the shipments to the yards totalled 540 carloads, with 9842 catle, 344 .calves, 5836 hog; and 576Q sheep and lambs. Numero-aa loads were billed right through to peeking houses, whichleft the offering for this inorzsing'a marke371 loads, comprising 7295 eagle, 293 calves, 2647 hogs and 5592 sheer,- and lambs.
