Griffin, Gaoler. t County Property.._ The County Property Committee re- ported as follows: We visited the gaol and found all departments clean and well kept; five prisoners therein ex- pressed that they were well treated and made no complaints. We recom- mend that the request of the Gaoler for underclothing, socks, wood, and mitts be granted. The Registry Office we found neat and clean.. A new fur- nace . has been installed at what we consider a very reasonable price, and is giving good satisfaction. The court house and offices have been well look- ed -after by the caretaker. The neces- sary repairs ordered at the June session of the council have been made at reasonable cost, inspected and found satisfactory, as was also the shelving in the office of Mr. D.
