County Property.._
The County Property Committee re-
ported as follows: We visited the gaol
and found all departments clean and
well kept; five prisoners therein ex-
pressed that they were well treated
and made no complaints. We recom-
mend that the request of the Gaoler
for underclothing, socks, wood, and
mitts be granted. The Registry Office
we found neat and clean.. A new fur-
nace . has been installed at what we
consider a very reasonable price, and
is giving good satisfaction. The court
house and offices have been well look-
ed -after by the caretaker. The neces-
sary repairs ordered at the June
session of the council have been made
at reasonable cost, inspected and found
satisfactory, as was also the shelving
in the office of Mr. D. McDonald. ---
