ding anniversary on New Years' Day.

Death Of A Pioneen—There died on
New Year's eve, at the home of his
daughter,Mrs. H.J. Thompson, an aged
resident of Wawanosh in the person
of Mr. Thomas Todd, ae the age of
82 „years. The deceased was one of
the pioneers of the township of Wawa -
nosh and had conducted a lumber bust-
ness there for a, great matey year
having come to this country when quite
a young map and engaged in this bus-
iness. He came to•Wingham a short
time ago to spend a few days with his
daughter_ hereathere he took suddenly
ill and died: The remains was remove
ed to his late home in St. Helens and
interment took place in the Dungannon
Cemetery. He leaves • to 'mourn his
loss an aged widow, three sons, W. J.,
David and Frank Todd, of St. Helens,
and two daughters; MTS. McRoberts,
of St. Helens, and Mrs. H. J. Thomp-
son, of liVinghain.
