Montreal, Dec., lst.-The fe,ature of
the trade was the weaker feeling for
canning dtock owing to the on:Untied
liberal supplies corning forward fold
pricedeclined o250 to 60c per 'cwt. as
compared with last ,week. Trade was
slow, bulls selling at 64.75 to 66, and
cows. at $3.66 to $4 per 100 pounds.
There was practically- no change in the
market for butchers' cattle. Good to
choice- steers were scarce. Best steers
were offered ,at 67.25, but the bulk of
the trading wasidene at prices _ranging
from' $6.25 to $7 per 'cwt. A strongell
feeling developed in the lamb market
today' and ;prices advanced 10c per .100
pounds, owing to. lighter receipt.Saie
of Ontario, tato& were made at 67,33
to 17.60, and Quebec at ,$6.85 to 67.10
per cwt._ Sheep ,were unchanged, ewes
at *460 to $435- per cwt. Hog prices
have declined k60c to 60c per 100 pounds,
orwhig to the fact khat supplies corn -o
ing forward khave been in excess of re-

than buyers ,on The market. The -man-
ager of one 'exchange told that good
heavy draught horses were fully $100
below the levels of this time last year
Serviceably sound horses can be picked
dee 'Very -,cheap. The average decline cord -
pared with a year ago, taking all clas-
ses of horses, is somewhere between
$25 and $5. The local trade is picking
up a _horse here end there for commer-
cial purposes. Some outside demand
comes. llorses were bought for ship-
ment to \Timmins, Ont., for luMbering
purposes, while- Montreal buyers (took

and shortly. Imperial authorities win

as follows : •
1. No person shall suffer or permit any dog of, any
age or sex, of whioh he is the owner, possessor or
harborer, to run at loge within the township of
MoKillop, and no such dog will be kept, harbored or
maintained in the said township of MoKillop, unless
constantly and securely ehained in an outhouse, or
other building, or constantly kept under look and
key, or being kept by some responsible person by
dog running ab large, contrary to the

rabid, may be iinmediately destroyed by any rate-
payer of the said township of MoKillep, or any
County Constable or Pollee Officer,

trate a penalty not exceeding Twenty Dollar,
($20,00) for each offence, exclusive of costs, and in
