The report of the ,spedlar committee
appointed at %the January meeting and
composed of \Messrs. Livingstone, Grey,
Shortreed, Morris and Elliott, F..tephen,
to consider and report on amendments
t� the present bridge by-law, ' wag
read and tconsidered in committee of
the whole. The report was amended
to recommend that the county assume
all bridges ,on boundary lihes within;
the county, Of 20 feet and over and
that the ;Lake Sbore road from the
North to ,the So•uth; boundaries 4 the
county, be considered a county boutnd-
ary and that a ')ey-law be passed ac-
cordingly. The ,report as amended was
adopted. -
A deputation .froth Bayfield. was
heard by :the Council, respecting -repairs
to the Bayfield !bridge.' A petition was
-also presented; signeClby 33 residents,
of Bayfield, and 42 residents, of - Clin-
ton, in which it twos represented, than
going on, with .the contemplated 're-
pairs to the bridge at present, would
be a great inconveniencel to the public

The county auditors, Messrs. Geo. Nen
Holman and John Cameron, reported
having made a careful examination of
the aocoulits, books and vouchers of
the county treasurer for the lyear end-
ing December 31st, 1913, and having
compared the entries with thief vouchers,
find the name correct. The total re-
ceipts for the year. were: Balance on
hand from 1912, $1$,901.73;,recelpts dur-
Ing 1913, $161,301,46, making a to-
tal of $176,203,19. The total paymente
during 1918. were $180,460.48, leaving an
overdraft of $6,267.29. The enditors

The Road and ,Bridge Committee re-
ported respecting the motion of Brown
and Lindsay regarding the eest of
conntructing a temperary bridge, at
Bayfield, and recommend that the
County assist Ba.yfield, to the exbent
of 76 per cent. of the cost of the
tempera.ry bridge, • providing the cost
does not exceed S100; the village of
Bayfield agreeing to ['furnish all lights,
required. Respecting the account fOr
-bridge erected on the Howicikand Mine
to boundary in 1913* is recommended
that the amount be! paid. Respecting
the motion of Campbell and Mowbray;
regarding the snow guards, on bridge
at Zetland, it is reconnnended that the
Engineer he,ve snow; guards erected
wben considerS them necessary. That
the request -of the tootion of Taylor
and. Hudson, regarding the side walk
on the bridge,. at 'Fleeter, it is recom-
mended that the Engineer have the
