Died In Regina. -We regret to learn
of the death of Mrs. Wm. Aikenhead,
Whose maiden name was Annie Dav-
idson, formerly of Tuckersmith. Mr.
Aikenhead row 'resides in. Regina and
his wife died at their home in that
eity last week of typhoid' fever and
four of their children are ill of the
eame disease. Many old friends of
Mr. Aikenhead in this vicinity will
extend to 'him the sincerest sym-
pathy on account a of his very sad
bereavement.

• Another Old Friend. - Mr. Adin
Wiltse, of the West End, Tackersmith,
was in town on Monday last, and paid
• his thirty-third yearly subscription. to
The Expeottor. Mr. Wiltse moved
from near Brockyline to his farm in
Tuckerentith, nearly thirty-six years
ago, and he still resides on it and
worke it. He is 75 years of age,
but is still bale and hearty, and he
say's hej intends, to remain onethe farm
as long as he can ashe is not in.
• .arty person's way there, and ,he al-
ways feels better when both body and
1 mind are employed.. In this Mr. Wiltse is wise. We think many farm -
ere make a mistake when they eell
e their farms and go to reside M a
town or village. They drop out all
. at fence of active life and assume
' new conditioner and surroundings and
, have little that is congenial to oc-
cupy either body or mind, while they
are tose old to take kindly to 'new
ways and we 'entirely different mode
of lite in what they have been so
long aceustomed. But they do not
find out .their mistake until it is too
late to remedy it. If they can not
make more than a bare living on
the farm they are wive who stick to
it. We hope our worthy old friend
: may be long spared to enjoy the
' duties and -comforts of his fine
rural home.
