HOMESTEAD REGULATIONS.
• ANY even numbered !motion of Domin-
,Ion Lands in Manitoba or the Norm -west
Provinces, excepting S and 26, not reserv-
ed, may be homesteaded by any, person
who is the sole head of ,a family, or any
male over 1,8 ye_ara of age, to the extent of
.one-quarter seotion of. 160. acres, more or
fess.
'Entry may be made personelle at the
local land office for the disbriot in whioh
the laud is situated, or if the •homesteader
desires, he may, on application'to the Min -
liner of the Interior, Ottawa, the, Commiesioner et Immigration, Winnipeg, or the
local agent receive authority for some one

Cook. Deceased was 74 years of age

that city 'for 25 years. On his tom-
