A; Big Bee. -Things were stirring
in Egmandoille on Monday, and trav-
ellers ,passing through must have
woudtered what it was all about. The
.occadion was a `bee for the shingling
of the large Sheds of the Presby-
terian church. Early in the morn -
hag some twenty busy men gathered
and went to work with might and
rawin and nothing was heard, until
learner bime but the steady crock or
many hammeas. At. twelve o'clock
the WiOrkeris scattered to the differ -
Ant homes in the village where the
good ladles had made ample provis-
ion for the visitors. But they were
aeon at it again, with their number
increased to about thirty, and by
tiairee 'o'clock the work was com-
pleted. In bhat tine they had put
on 37 squar,es of rshingles, and made
n splendid job of the shed. During
the afternoon lemonade and. sand -
witches were served to t.l.ea workers.
Of the busy and hustling men at the
bee, none were more in evidence than
the eneegetie pastor, Rev. Neil
Shaw. Long before the majority of
the yialagers were astir, a 'member
af the congregation spied his pas-
tor !busy carrying up the bundles of
shangles ready for those to come,
and he was night in the thick of it
utabia the work was eompleted. The
members or the Egmondville eon-
gregateoe are active workers and
always respond promptly te any call
road.e son them by thetie popular and
esteemed pastor.
