He leaves a wife and three daughters to lament his loss. Domestic Life in Japan.. Generally speaking, the Japanese men make kind and affectionate husbands, and the women make virtnous and ex- emplary wives and mdthers ; and the children are certainly the happiest little imps in the world; their parents fondle and spoil them most effectually, and at the same time never lose their control over them. The non -irritating nature of the native diet has much to do with such serene nerves and temperaments. • One never sees a ellild whipped in Japan; a reproving mother may administer a mild slap over the head, which correction in- variably brings the little recalcitrants to order. The husband has absolute con- trol over the person of his wife; at the same time, one Dever sees a man strike a woman in Japan , yet there is consid- erable pinchins and slapping done on oc , casions when those strange and ungov- ernable speljs of exasperating ugliness knoWn as tantrums settle down upon/ their matrimonial borizon. On thes9 bccasions there is considerable free hit - tine, biting, and scratching indulged i on''both sides of the house; but th greater strength of the husband invari ably leases him master of the situation, and the belligerent 'household speedily resumes its serene and haPpy coursei On such oocasions; unless physical force, were resorted to, it would be difficult to say NN -here matters would end ; for the women are very childish, and in their paroxysms of fury might speedily dei molish the household, unless restrainedi These family jars axe not of frequent occurrence, but they make up in intenr sity for theirE rarity. -Brooklyn Maga', zinc. , •, ' ! Out of 2,000 patients treated during the past six nths, fully ninety per cent, have been cured of this stubborn malady. This is none the less Wine when it is, remembered that no five per t. of patients presenting themselves to he lar practitioner are benefitted, while the tent medicines and other advertised cures ver reeprd a cure at all. Starting with the Mr now generally believed by the most scien- c men that the disease is due to the presence living parasites in the tissue, Mr. Dixon at ce adapted his cure to their extermination-- is accomplished, he claims the Catarrh is prae- ally cured, and the permanency is unquestion- , as cures effected by him four years ago are res still.
