On this site a parsonage was erected the sa,ixte yeer. It was built of logs rafted Iowa the Aisiniboine by a still very prominent member .of the Grace Glatirch Board of Trustees. The logs were hauled to the site by the Mission- ary and Mission hOrse, and after much work and kind help bydriencls, some of whom are still with usnthe house was completed. 1Frenci its completion to the erection of Grace Church, services were held in the lower flat, and up -stairs being used as a residence. Preparations were now made for the -church building, but they were very seriously delayed, first by the famine cadged by the grass- ' hopper plague, and next by the rebellion 'of 1869 and 1870; but at last on the 17th day of September, 1871, Grace Clatireh was opened for public worship. The contractors were Joseph Gardiner and James Davison, and to the work, help and 'advicee so faithfully given to the infant cause by Mr. j.R.Ashdown and Col.
