The thirty women and children afloat in a small boat, concern- ing whose safety some hope was retained, is now definitely known te have been lost. This malady is one of the most obstinate which tor- tures humanity, and yet there is a specific which will overcome it and pre- vent its recurrence. The name of this sovereign remedy is Dr. Thomas' Eclec- tric Oil, a combination of six of the best known medicinal oils, the remedial efficacy of which is not weakened by evaporation, since it contains no alcohol to render it volatile. On this account, as on many others, it is superior to all other liniments, lotions and other remedies used externally and has this further advantage that it is used inter- nally as well. It is an incomparable specific for lameness, stiffness, burns, bruises, frost bites and other bodily troubles treated outwardly, and is a grand medicine in throat and lung diseases. Used for man or beast. Sold by all dealers. Prepared only by Nor- throp & Lyman, 'roronto, Ont. 710.a Loss of Appetite in Children. From Charles H. Colgage, manufac- turer of flavoring extracts, 21 Black- stone street, Boston. "Last spring my little daughter, aged five, became very much emaciated, with loss of appetite, and great prostration of strength, so much so that we were obliged to take her out of - school. This continued. through the sumtner and caused us much anxiety. After trying various remedies without deriving any benefit, our family physician recommended the use of Peruvian Syrup. After using it one week we saw a marked improve- ment in the child's condition, and in a month she was rapidly gaining in health and strength, her appetite being excellent, At this date she is perfectly well, with round, plump cheeks, and healthy color, and is again attending school regularly. I consider her restora- tion to health entirely due to the Per- uvian Syrup, and feel that I cannot too highly recommend it as a tonic." Drug- gists sell Peruvian Syrup. 710.52 Holloway's Ointraent an.d Pills. These remedies are unequalled throughout the world for bad legs, wounds, foul Bores, and ulcers. Used according to directions given with them there is no wound, ---bad leg, or -ulcerous sore, however obstinate or long standing, but will yi8ld to their healing and curative properties. Many f)oor sufferers who have been patients in the large hospitals under the care of emin- ent surgeons, and have derived. little or no benefit from their treatment, have been thoroughly cured by Holloway's Ointment and Pills. For glandular swellings, tumors, scurvy, and diseases of the skinthere is nothing that can be used with so much benefit. In fact, in the worst forms of disease, dependent upon the condition of the blood, these medicines, used conjointly, are irresis- tible. 712.52 1 Never Give Up.
