Mr. John M Connell was nominated for that po tion also, but ' declined opposing Burns, who intimated that -this w the last year he desired to occupy t position. This being the case, and McConnell having considerable muni pal experience and being. popular the township, he will probably turn as Deputy Reeve next year.
