It is said that the Government has changed the terminus of the Thunder Bay Branch of the Canada -Pacific Rail: way from Fort William to Prince Ar- thur's Landing. --Present contracts having been com- pleted at the Ontario Car Works in London, about 60 men have been dis- charged, and unless new contracts are entered into, the shops will be closed entirely for a season in a few weeks. ":--A female lunatic created some sen- sation on the streets in London, the other day, by her antics. She claimed to be the wife of "one of London's ohiefest people." She visited the Club Rouse, and filled out a page 'of signa- tures in the visitors' book, and before a policeman could be brought to remove ker, had gone across to the market and bought a pig, for which she tendered 10 cents in payment. It is said that she comes from Stratford. —Preparations are being made at Winnipeg to Receive the Rev. E. Pay- son Hammond, the rivavalist, who has written that he expects to reach that city on the 23rd inst. It 'is probable that the different religions bodies will unite in welcoming hirn, and in aiding him in his work. As there is no hall in the city large enough to hold. the limbers expected to be present at his -services, it is proposed to floor and seat the drill shed specially for that purpose. There is no better field in the world for a live revivalist than the Prairie City. • Zurich: NEwENTERPRISE.—Messes. Holtzman &Koehler, two of our most enterprising and. respected- citizens, have branched out into a new business. They have had a most handsome hearse construct- ed, and intend going, into the under-, taking business in all its branches. As they are well and favorably known as thoroughly reliable business men, they will, no doubt, secure the undertaking business of the village and surrounding sountry. Their enterprise in providing such a handsome hearse, should be ap- preciated by the people. Glycerine Emollient will pre - 'vent and cure a Sore Face and. Roughness of Skin, Chapped Bands,&c.
