BUSINESS CnAxcE.—As will be seen

sporedof her business to her sons
C arles and George Whitney. -The
eesrfe Whitney have had the priml-

t eir good management, industry and

" abundance were served to both old

a right royal time, swinging, croquet

k pt up until late in the evening, and
all present seemed to enjoy themselves

AN OMISSION.—Last week the Ex -
i osteal: published what it represented
to be as the entire evidence taken before
the Agricultural Commission, at its
sitting in that place, but omitted the
evidence of Mr. -Richard Rausford, of
the Stapleton salt works, one of the
est extensivesalt manufacturers in
the Dominion, and a gentleman whose
testimony was especially= valuable on
account of its scientific and also
ractical character. If there was - any
slue in publishing the testimony of
he different witnesses, our content-
iorary should not have permitted its
pparent jealousy against anvthirig re-
ating to Clinton, to get the better of its
weal good judgment. --New Era.
Our Clinton contemporary should
of be so sensitive, neither should
t rush to conclusions so hastily.
n the first place we did not profess to
ublich a full report of the evidence
ut merely . a suminary, and in. the
ocond .place we are not jealous of 1.l intoe and have no reason to be. Mr.
Lansford, we believe, is all' our . con-
emporary claims he is, and his evidence
hows hie to be thoroughly versed in
tvverything connected with the salt
nsiness. But his evidence dealt more
