the lad carry away something in a bag.
It was proven that the lad was return-
ing front performing a message, and had.
some meat in the bag which. he • had

against Laing. Cameron, Holt & Cam-

Holmes vs. Bell.—This -action Was
brought to recover dal -Cages for waste
of timber on. plaintiff'ii property, in the
township of Grey. ,Holnaes had. leased
certain property to • Bell, who stripped
it of the timber thereon Or wasted it.
The ,defen.ce made by .Bell wasi that
he had a right to clear off the timber,
by the customs of the country. . The,

and gave a verdict. of 14320 to the plain
