TORONTO LIVE STOCK. MARKET. I
TonoNTO, June 17, 1875.
BEEVES.—The supply of fat cattle a`t
this market during the past week was
only moderately large, and the demand
being Steady,_ prices were fully sustained.
We quote first-class it $5 25 to 5. 75,
the outside figure for picked lots only ;
- second-class, '$4 50 to $4 75, and third
class at $.3' 75 to $4.
Srit .--There were agood many clip-
ped in, quoted at $5 to $6 for first-class,
and for second class, and $3 to $3 50
for third-class. One car load to dress
about 55 lbs sold at $6, and one car to
dress 45 lbs at $5.
LAMBS..-7—The supply was pretty liberal
but all offering were wanted, at -$4 for
first-class, $3 for second-class, and $2.
to $2 50 for third-class. Two car loads
changed hands at $4.
MONTREAU LIVE STOCK MARKET.
ST. GABRIEL, June 15, 1875.
The market was well supplied with
cattle to -day, there being 20 car -loads
brought in, three of these were farm fed
cattle, and the rest being distillery fed.
Prices were about 50e per 100 lbs less
than last week, a few distillery fed sold
at 86 25 per 100 lbs live weight, bath the
ruling price was $6, while a few went
for $5 75. Harry Gould, of Whitby,
▪ sold- a few No. I farm fed cattle at $6 per
100 lbs, but the general price of this
class was from $5 25 to $5 75, .while a
few were sold for less. There were a few
Chieakc, hogs on the market, which sold
from $'7 50 to $8. per 100 lbs live weight.
Slaughtered hogs are worth from $10 to
$10 50 per 100 lbs. There were no sheep
on the market...

$5 ; No. 3, $4, per 100 lbs ; calf skins,
1Oc per lb ; sheep skins, 25c each ; lamb
skins, 30c to 35e each,
LITTLE FALLS DAIRY MARKET.
Tal:',.= FALLS, N. Y., June 14, 1875.
The market is brisk, and prices are a
shade better than last week. The de-
liveries of farm dairies amounted to about
500 boxes, and sales were made at 8c. to
lie.., only n few lots bringing the last
figure. The offerings from factories
aggregate not far from 5,000 boxes. A
few other factories are reported to have
reached 122e., and a number of factories
sent forward their goods to be sold on,
commission. The average price for the
bulk of sales may be quoted at 114e., and
top price 12&c.
There was only a light delivery of
butter, but prices for grass make went
about but
higher than last week. We
quote ordinary grades from 25c. to 27e.,
and fancy grass make at 38c.
We have letters from England to the
first week in June. Our London corres-
pondent says the hot weather tells on
English cheese. Faultless old. American
sells well at a reduction 4 2s., and sec-
ondary at 4s. The new landed being
poor is not in brisk demand. The quo-
tations are as follows : American, extra
fine, 74s. to 76s.; next quality, 70s. to
72s.; good, OOs. to 68s.; new, 66s. to i
