sisted chiefly of medium quality, first-
class being scerce and. in demand. at im-
proving prices, and. the number of lief e-
rior offered. being also limited. We now
quote first-class, $4 50 to $5; second-
class, $4; and third-class, $3 to $3 50.
Of the sales we not the following: six
prime steers„ average 1,400, at $70; 8
choice heifers, average 1,300 lbs, at
$65; one car, average 1,210 lbs at $58 ;'
two cars, average 1,120 lbs, i544 ; one
car, average 1,2101bs, at $52 ; one car of
cows, average 1,100 lbs, at $39.
SHEEP. -In moderate demand, and
selling readily at $7 to $8 for first-class,
