AecenEsee-On Wedneaday evening of
last week, as an hostler named David 1
Phillips, in the employ of Mr. Johnson,
of Johnson's Hotel, was engaged in tak- ;
nig the harness off the stage horses,
the animal kicked him in the face, break-
ing his jaw bone in three pieces, and in- ;
flicting tsvo severe wounds in his face. I
The force of the blow was so great that
the man was knocked clear across t he 1
stabIe floor. Dr. 'Pewter has the case in
charge, and under his care, we under-
stand, the patient is recovering.
