Swallowed a Frogs
If -we maav believe the veracious
Marine City c•oITespondent of the
Detroit I'7 it une, Mr. Clark War-
u-ac1:, a young bachelor of that
village, white taking a walk with
S01110 ladies, picked up a half grown
frog, a11ei placing it on the palm of
his hand, playfully putting itneer
his opal, mouth. Observing a good
opening, and not to be out done in
playfulness, the vivacious reptile
jeco scaly jumped down Mr. W zir-
wach's throat. The frog evidently
supposed that Mr. War'wack was of
Frenchextraction, but the latter
does not approve this manner of
anticipating the fry -leg -pan. A
Swallow is said to be a sure sign of
summer, and Mr. Watwack does not
hesitate to say that this swallow was
a very summary proceeding. We
hope that there will be no intestine
war. His frogship has committed a
first-classprattical joke—and yet, he
is not happy.
