Female Delicacy.
Above every other feature which
adorns the feieale character, delicacy
stands foremost within the province
of good taste. Not that delicacy
whiclt is perpetually in quest of
of something to be ashamed of,
which inakeu merit of a blush, and
eimpers at the false constractiorrits
own_ ingenuity has put upon an in-
nocent remark ; this spurious 'kind
of de;icacy is as far removed from
good taste as from good feelingand
good sense ; latt the hig-h-tuinded
delicacy which 'maintains. its pure
and nude\ iatin:a walk alike amongst
women as in tle society of men,
which shrinks from no necessary du-
ty, and speaks when requived, with
seriousness and kindness, lef things
at which it' N.N.-quld be ashamed to
rziiic or ,to- blush—that eelicacy
which ' can give alms without dis-
play, and advice without assump-
tion ; and which rains not the most
e or susceptible being in
ereation.
