Wednes- day, 22d inst. • The school -room was decorated in a very tasteful manner with evergreens and artificial flow- ers of various hues. Everything within the walls exhibited no ordi- nary degree of neatness, cleanliness and go%d taste. • The attendance of visitoli, including young and old of both • sexes, indicated the interest which is taken in the education of the rising generation. The exer- cises coinmenced at half -past 9A. M., and the following programme was gone through with: , Reading, Spell- • rug, History, Geograiihy, _Arithmet- ic, Dialogues, Recitations, Writing, &c.
