MONTHLY CATTLE Fate.- For eerne
time the monthly cattle fair has notbeen
as succestiel as formerly. This is owing
almoehteewhele to the fact that there was
no peon in particular to take charge of,
and attend to the proper cauducting of
the fair. For the past year. almost the
whole responsibility of this fell upon Mr;
- m. Fowler, the original instigator of
eur monthly fairs, and we may here state
that Mr. Foe ler is entitled to the thanks
c.:f the community for the exertions he
ilea put fedi' in its behalf. Now; how-
ever. the matter has been taken in hand

and hereafter the fair i will bo held regu-
larly under their auspices. From ,the
well known energy of the officers of this
Society, w6 may safely say that our
menthly cattle fairs will, in future, be
promptly and efficiently attended to.
The fairs will be held, as formerly, on the
third Tuesday in each month. itis un-
necessary to say one word in behalf of
these fairs, as we believe their advan-
tages are now thoroughly understood and
appre iatec1 by tatit Ryer and seller. I
