THE' PICTURE OF THE GREAT DESERT. This picture is a.great work of art. It is an oil painting done in p-etroleanl. It is by the old masters, It was the last -thing they did before dying. They did this and then they eipired. The most celebrated artists in Lond- on are so delighted with this picture tnat they conie to the hall every day to gaze at it. wish you were nearer to it -so you could see it better. -I wish I coUld take it to your residences and let you see it by daylight, with lanterns, to look at it. They say they never saw anything like it before-akd they hope they never shall again. When I,.tirst allowed this picture in New York, the audience were so enthu- siastic in their admiration of this pic- ture that they called for ibe artist-- anct when he appeared. they threw brickbats at him. BRIGHAM YOUNG. Brigham Young has just two hun- dred wives.. Just think of that Ob- lige me .by thinking .of that., That IS, he has eighty actual wives, and he is spiritually married to one hundred and twenty more. So we may say he has two hundred wives. he loves. not wisely, but two hundred well. He is dreadfully married. He is the most married man I 'ever saw in. my life.. I saw his mother-in-laA while I -vas there. I can't exactly tell you how many there is of her, but it's a good deal. MESSRS YOUNG & -S rs, I feel it a duty 1 owe to you, as well as to the public td inform you of the most wonderful cure of Consumption, accomplished in My person, by the use of the Great Shoshonees 1),.emedy and Pills. 1 coughed a great deal day and night, expectorating a great quanti- ty of matter, and had a great pain about my left lung. I had cold ,chills every day, and savere night sweats every night, andbetween the racking cough and great sweating, I. was almost deprived of sleep ; by these miseries as well as the loss of appetite, I was so 3 e- duced that I could hardy stand alone. I was under the care ef a physician for a length of time, anal finding no relief, I tried different receipes; but all without any good effect. Squire Peterson of Bata, re- commended me to use the Great Shoshonees Remedy; I procured three bottles at once, with the Pills, so soon as I commenced using it;I began to get better, and when I had. fin- ished this complement, the cough, expeCtora- tion of matter, pain about the lung, chills, sweating, &c., left me, and by continuing its use I became strong and healthy. It is now over two months since I quit the reme- dy, and there have been no symptoms of the disease returning, and I have been, and am now, healthier • and better than I have = been for years. 1 trust you will make this knpvin to the public, that they may be a -ware of the peculiar virtues of this truly wonderful In- dian Remedy.
