Cumberland, - England. -It appears --
-that -soMe 18, or 19-eifieeks ago- a --girl
from 11 to 12_ years f rtg.t, residing
-with her parents at Milton,_ was ill,
and :the medical attendant advised 'a re-
moval for change of „air. Tie patient
was taken* Old -Hall Farm, leased
from, Mr Brogden by Mr: W. Trough -
ton: She was attended to With every
care; but made no progresetosval•ds re-
covery,- and ina short time Jell into a
lethargicstate, resembling that of a
person in a trance. In this condition
' she remained for 'many_ w-eeks; otitfat
length she woke to a state eleonscious-
-
nese, 'and calling an her mother, who
. was in attendance- Upon here --eelated
how she had ben in heaven and seen
numerons angels and. her brother,- who
had died some time ago. On being
questioned to that effed she expiessed
a desire net to recover from her illness
but to go *to the happier_ land oi Vith;ch
she had, glimpses: At that time she is
described by her attendant a having a
most "heavenly expression ef counten-
ance," and although she had been far'
many weeks *about orte particle of
solid food; her face was plump, her
cheeks suffused with a lovely hue, the
lips alone being) devoid of the color
natural to her age when in health.
Thee -limy -0r of speech remained only for
a short _time, ..a.nd the :girl then relapsed
into her former state, or nearly so.
She lieT in a .letha, rgio condition, but
when a question is put to her she mani-
_fests her power of 'understanding it by a
slight moving of th'e head, or Same
motion to indicate that she is sensible
to the sound -of the human v ise.f The
only sustenance, if it can be called by
that name, the girl has .received. for 15
or 16 weeks is occasional moistenieg of
the lips with brandy and Wetter or tea.
within the last few- days the girl's linibs
have become gradu lly more rigid, • :as
though foretelling of no very distant
dissolution.

NOTE'S.
* The Pawn is generally taken, the refusal
of the capture involving a somewhat cramp-
ed and inferior game.
+ It is better perhaps° to exchang Pawns,
and upon the Knight's taking to throw up
the K B Pawn.
$ From this point we prefer Black's game.
• § Ingeniously conceived The result will
show that an equivalent must be obtained
II The right raethod of following i.p the at-

-ANOTHER WONDE-RFUL CURE OF
CONSUMPTION IN CANADA.
/VIESSRS YOUNG & CKAMBERLIN,--S rs,
feel it a duty 1 owe to you, as well as to the
public to inform you of the most wonderful
• cure of Consumption, accomplished in my
-person, by the use of the Great Shoshonees
Remedy and Pilis. -1 coughed a great deal
day and night, expectorating a great quanti-
ty of matter, and had a, great pain about my
left lung. I had cold chills every , day, and
severe night sweats every night, and. between,
the racking cough and great sweating, I was
almost deprived of sleep ; by these miseries
-
as, well as the loss of appetite, I was so le-
.
duced. that .I couldhardly stand-. alone. I .
was under the care of a physician for
length of time, and finding no relief, I
tried different receipes, but all without an
good effect. Squire Peterion of Bath, At
cemmended me to use the Great Shoshonee*
.Remedy; I procured three bottles at once, _
with the Pills, so soon' as I commenced using
it I began to get better, and when I had fin-
ished this complement, the cough, expectora-
tim of matter, pain about the lung, -chins,
sweating, &c., left me ; and by continuing
its use I became strong and healthy. It la
now over two months since I quit the reme-
dy, and. there have been no symptoms of the
disease returning, and I havc been, and am ,
now, healthier and better than I have been
for years. I trust you will make this known
to the public, that they may be aware of the
peculiarvirtues of this truly wonderful in -
Ian Remedy.
