S is for Son of God that s who Jesus was. E is for excitement that s how I feel. A is for angels who brought the good news. S is for shepherds keep- ing watch over their flocks by night. 0 is for Orient the home of the kings. N is for night filled with wonder and awe. G is for the greatest story of all R is for the rumour that Christ was born E is for everyone who loves to hear the Christmas story E is for an experience that is hard to explain. T is for together, the best way to be. I is for the Inn where there wasn t any room. N is for Noel which means Christmas is here. G is for greeting people on Christmas day. Posy s mom was tuck- ing her into bed on the night before Christmas eve. Maybe, said Posy s mom. How about on Christmas eve you and I watch for him. Okay! Posy said in an excited voice. Posy went right to sleep that night she wanted Christmas eve to come. Finally it came. Posy got her special bear so he would watch for Santa with them. She wanted a snowsuit for him for Christmas. Just then her mom came in. Posy, she said how about you lay on the couch and I 11 sit on the chair. Okay said Posy. They waited for hours. At 11:00 Posy s mom fell asleep but Posy was still awake. Then at 12:00 Posy heard a rustling sound from the chimney. Santa? Posy said. Then Santa came sliding down the chimney. Ho -Ho -Ho, Posy shouldn t you be in bed? Santa asked. Mom- my said that I can watch for you, Posy replied. Well I have something special for you Posy. Here you are, Santa held something in his hands. Posy took it. Can I open it? She asked. Sure said Santa. Posy opened it up and there was the snow- suit she wanted for her bear. Thank you Santa! Well, I best be on my way. Santa said. Merry Christmas Santa! Posy said as he climbed back up the chimney. Ho -Ho - Ho, Merry Christmas! Santa said back. And a happy new year too! Dear Santa, I m very excited about writing my first letter to you. I have been a very good girl this year. All I want for Christmas is one or two learning toys. I m a big girl now and my baby toys are too little for me. And maybe you could bring my dog Keyser a new football to play with and a bone so he doesn t get jealous!! Thanks Santa. My dad tells me that, in a few years, I will think this is the greatest time of year! So far, my favourite part is looking at the Christmas tree, and all of the bright lights. For Christmas, I would like some toys for when I get a bit bigger. I am growing so fast. And maybe some toys for my teeth too. I hope you have a great Christmas and a safe jour- ney. Oh by the way Santa, you will find me at my grandma and grandpa s in Crediton on Christmas eve.
