Goals: Jarrett Baker (2), Brett Reid
Assists: Drew Horner, Sam McEwan,
Charlie Tait, Reid
The Sabres played an excellent game
against a strong Dorchester team,
which has only suffered one loss this
season. The Sabres had a 2 0 lead after
two periods, but lagged in the third, al-
lowing Dorchester back into it. Baker
scored his second goal with less than a
minute left to play, but time ran out on
the South Huron team.

ter, Ben Turner, Austin Glavin, Noah
Mitchell, Sam McEwan

The Sabres dominated at both ends
of the ice and the score could have been
much higher. The Sabres demonstrated
some excellent passing plays in the first
half of the game. Denotter executed a
beautiful end to end goal and Glavin
and McEwan both had exciting break-
away goals.

Regional Silver Stick tournament
Game 1: Fri., Dec. 5 - SH 1 vs Petrolia
1
Goal: Sam McEwan
Assists: Jarrett Baker, Brett Reid
A fine defensive effort by our Sabres
helped to neutralize a strong offensive
Petrola squad. Sam McEwan s persis-
tence paid off as he was able to tuck away
a goal in a scramble at the net. Donovan
Brewer made several excellent stops to
keep the Sabres in the game. Nice pen-
alty killing by Noah Mitchell.
Game 2 Sat., Dec. 6 - SH 1 v. Inger-
soll 0
Goal: Brett Reid
Assists: Sam McEwan, Charlie Tait
An excellent game that was decided
on a beautiful passing play with six min-
utes left in the game. McEwan stole the
puck in the neutral zone and fed Tait,
creating a two -on -one. Tait feathered
a pass to Reid, whose strong wrist shot
Banged off the high inside post before
falling behind the goaltender. Austin
Glavin created several great offensive
chances and only unfortunate bounces
kept him off the scoreboard. Another
excellent defensive effort supported by
solid goaltending from Owen Kuranyi,
who recorded his third straight shutout.
Game 3 Dec. 6 - SH 3 vs Goderich 0
Goals: Drew Horner, Sam McEwan,
Noah Mitchell
Assists: Charlie
Taid, Brett Reid,
Ben Turner
Looking to ad-
vance to the quar-
ter -finals on Sun-
day, the Sabres got
off to a bit of a slow
start before Horner
opened the scor-
ing on a nice slap
shot from 15 feet
out. Jarrett Baker
played an excellent
two-way game and
Brody Reid fought
hard for the puck
the entire game.
A shutout for
Donovan Brewer.

tion.
Tournament Summary
Coach Tom Turner would like to
thank his players for a strong tourna-
ment and excellent effort. Given that the
team only allowed two goals the entire
tournament, much praise goes to goal -
tenders Kuranyi and Brewer as well as
the strong defence of Ben Turner, Jared
Denotter, Connor Drager and Mitchell
Dykstra.
