The Sun., Dec. 7 service was cancelled at Granton -Wesley United Church. The service at St. Paul s An- glican Church in Kirkton on the same day was also cancelled. Someone shovelled my side- walk out front, for which I am very thankful. Water contract signed by Bluewater Council members HENSALL Bluewater council recently accepted a recommenda- tion from its water committee on details relating to a final written water agreement with GreenField Ethanol. The council established a water committee in August of 2007 to negotiate specific contract details stemming from a 2006 proposal by GreenField to reserve water ca- pacity in the Exeter-Hensall Pipe- line. The water committee consisted of Mayor Bill Dowson, Deputy Mayor Dave Johnston, Councillor - at -Large Jim Fergusson and Coun. Kay Wise. The committee was supported by municipal staff, legal and fi- nancial counsel. The contract addressed a range of terms including construction, capital contributions, invoicing, reports, maintenance, party re- sponsibilities and obligations. GreenField Ethanol, Canada s largest ethanol producer, will con- tribute more than $6.6 million to- ward the newly completed water pipeline. We are proud to contribute to a new, clean water supply for the Hensall community, said Bob Gallant, president and chief ex- ecutive officer of GreenField. Market conditions have forced us to delay construction of our Hensall ethanol plant, but we re- main fully committed to building here as evidenced by our contri- bution to the water pipeline. In addition to the GreenField amount, ratepayers will contrib- ute $3.8M towards the project. "The citizens of Bluewater are grateful to the Lake Huron Pri- mary Water Supply System (LH- PWSS) for bringing clean, healthy water to Hensall and we are pleased to have worked closely with representatives of GreenField Ethanol to put a signed agreement in place" said Dowson. .I.C.'S 470% . .
