TIMES -ADVOCATE 19 Huron By Bev Campbell EXETER The November meeting of the Hurondale WI took place at the home of Marian Dougall with nine members and one guest present. A delicious des- sert was served to the group after which the guest Deb Campbell, intro- duced the group to felting. Deb showed the group many beautiful examples of articles made from felt. She explained the process of turning the wool into felt. The group was then instructed in the making of a felt poinsettia napkin ring. Lois McFalls thanked Deb for her demonstration and presented her with a gift of appreciation. President Fern Dougall opened the busi- ness portion of the meeting with a reading. The roll call was answered by members giving to the Christmas Bureau. Articles earn a new craft for the Children s Hospital were gath- ered to be taken there by Marilyn Pym. Upcoming in 2009 A donation was made to the Huron Perth Agriculture and Water Festival which takes place in Seaforth April 7-9. Marilyn Pym gave a report of the board meeting held earlier this month. On Feb. 16, 2009 the Oxford WI are having an antique fair at St. David United Church in Woodstock. Ar- ticles can be evaluated at this time. Plans were made for the 90th anniversary of Hurondale WI next year. The business portion being concluded the programme continued with a Christmas contest and reading. Marian Dougall s group then served refreshments and a social time took place.
