EXETER The November meeting of
the Hurondale WI took place at the home
of Marian Dougall with nine members
and one guest present. A delicious des-
sert was served to the group after which
the guest Deb Campbell, intro-
duced the group to felting. Deb
showed the group many beautiful
examples of articles made from
felt. She explained the process of
turning the wool into felt. The group
was then instructed in the making of a
felt poinsettia napkin ring. Lois McFalls
thanked Deb for her demonstration and
presented her with a gift of appreciation.
President Fern Dougall opened the busi-
ness portion of the meeting with a reading.
The roll call was answered by members
giving to the Christmas Bureau. Articles
earn a new craft
for the Children s Hospital were gath-
ered to be taken there by Marilyn Pym.
Upcoming in 2009
A donation was made to the Huron
Perth Agriculture and Water Festival
which takes place in Seaforth April 7-9.
Marilyn Pym gave a report of the board
meeting held earlier this month.
On Feb. 16, 2009 the Oxford WI are
having an antique fair at St. David
United Church in Woodstock. Ar-
ticles can be evaluated at this time. Plans
were made for the 90th anniversary of
Hurondale WI next year. The business
portion being concluded the programme
continued with a Christmas contest
and reading. Marian Dougall s group
then served refreshments and a social
time took place. The next meeting will
be Jan. 28 at the home of Fern Dougall.

PET ADOPTION BULLETIN
Huron OSPCA (Ontario Humane Society)
Meet Charlie. He is a handsome 3 -year-old
Black Lab cross. He would be perfect for a
quiet adult home where someone would love
him and take him for walks. Charlie has a
wonderful laid-back personality. Although a
little shy at first, he will soon show you all the
clever things he can do like shake a paw and
give kisses. He is a big boy, but he knows not
to jump up on people and does all he can to
please.
