Alzheimer Society receives award
HURON — At the Fall
Leadership Conference for
Alzheimer Society of Ontario,
the Alzheimer Society of
Huron County received the
Circle of Excellence Award.
The Circle of Excellence
award is given to a chapter on
completion of their Peer
Review.
Peer review results give
chapters a snapshot of where
they stand in their striving in
excellence, and what they
have yet to do to achieve that
aim in all areas. Building on
the results of peer review,
chapters can improve the effi-
ciency of their operations.
A consistent peer review
system demonstrates account-
ability to stakeholders, donors
and enhances a chapter's cred-
ibility, according to a press
release from the Alzheimer
Society.
The peer review process is
an invaluable opportunity to
share knowledge and experi-
ence with peers from other
chapters.
In 2000 the Alzheimer
Society of Ontario launched
an ambitious venture: the

Project. The goal was a far -

high level of effectiveness in
services by clarifying account-
ability and by providing chap-
ters with practical tools and
resources.
Peer review is a tool for
achieving chapter excellence.
It is a method chapters can
use in assessing their status
and progress in key quality
areas. The assessment is guid-
ed by others in the Alzheimer
Society in Ontario.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF OUR
BELOVED SON PAUL WHO PASSED
AWAY SUDDENLY TWO YEARS AGO
ON NOV. 8, 2006.
November has come
with sad regret.
The month, the day,
we will never forget.
If we could have one lifetime wish,
one dream that would come true,
we would pray to God with all our
hearts for yesterday and you.
Forever in our hearts.
Loved and deeply missed by your
family and friends.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF OUR DEAR
MOTHER NANCY WARWICK, WHO
LEFT US UNEXPECTEDLY ONE
YEAR AGO, Nov. 4, 2007
A million times we needed you.
A million times we cried.
If love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died.
In life we loved you dearly.
In death we love you still.
For in our hearts you hold a place
That never can be filled.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you didn't go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God took you home.
