Choice steers and heifers sold 96 -100 with
sales to 104.75. Second cut sold 93 - 96.

Veal sold on a good active market. Lambs
sold on a steady trade. Sheep sold steady
and Goats sold steady.
Friday
Calves and Yearlings sold on a steady
trade. At the vaccinated sale, calves and
yearlings sold steady.

There were 449 steers on offer.
Knechtel Farms of Gadshill consigned
12 x -bred steers averaging 1,425 lbs. sell-
ing for an average of 98.49. With one limo
steer selling to Dominion Meat Packers for
104.75.
Geisel Cattle Company of Elmira con-
signed 46 steers averaging 1,520 lbs. selling

Denfield Livestock Sales
Denfield Livestock market report for
Tues., Oct. 28, 2008.
The market at Denfield traded on a strong
demand at prices $2 - $4 higher on all class-
es of fed cattle with the fancy cattle bring-
ing premium prices. A large run of cows
sold actively at strong prices. Stockers fully
steady. Holstein bull calves stronger ac-
cording to quality.
Leo Johnston, Port Lambton sold 15 head
average weight 1141 lbs. average price 101
with sales to 107 all purchased by Norwich
Packers.
Jim Scott, Lucan sold 29 heifers average
weight 1408 lbs. average price 98 with sales
to 100.50 purchased by Norwich Packers
and 99.75 purchased by Cargill Meat Solu-
tions.
Ralph Pool, Wyoming sold 18 head aver-
age weight 1338 lbs. average price 97.15.
Brenton Webster, Parkhill sold 14 head av-
erage weight 1344 average price 95.70 with
sales to 98.50 purchased by Cargill meats.
Rick Davidson, Parkhill sold a black bull
2350 lbs. at 66 to Levinoff Meats.
