Goals: Nicholas Overholt, Ben
Turner
Assists: Kyle Jones, Chad Daw-
son
The boys started the game
strong - showing positional work
and intercepting many of Lam-
beth s passes. This allowed Over-
holt to take the scoring lead early
in the first period. With many
shots on Lambeth s net the boys
held on until the last few seconds
of the third period when Lam-
beth tied the game. The coaches
were proud of the way the boys
played.
Thamesford 6 versus South Hu-
ron 3
Goals: Kyle Jones (2), Bradley
Regier
Assists: Drew Horner, Evan
Hayter, Ray Delbridge
Comments: Thamesford came
out strong scoring three goals in
the first period. The Sabres re-
grouped and held their own in
the second period with Drew
Horner s pass to Kyle Jones who
popped the puck into the top left
hand corner. Teamwork for the
Sabres began in the third period
with an increase in passing result-
ing in two goals - one by Bradley
Regier. The next goal resulted
from a solid pass from Ray Del -
bridge to Evan Hayter s wind-up
shot and off of Jones stick to the
top of net. Coach Lord said the
boys did have a slow start and
will continue to work on passing
and positional play.
The team is preparing for the
next game Oct. 30 in Strathroy.

A strong performance by Owen
Kuranyi in net enabled the Sa-
bres to hang on for the win in a
see -saw battle. The Sabres took
advantage of their power play
opportunities, and stayed out of
penalty trouble themselves.
SH versus Mooretown
Mooretown came into town and
were shut down by a solid defen-
sive game which saw Donavan
Brewer kick out every shot result-
ing in his first shut out while the
Sabres were able to score five.

Assists: Sarah (2), Maaike.
Goal Tender: Amanda.
Comments: Strong game from

never gave up keeping Amanda
busy with 28 shots. In the end
South Huron pulled away and
showed some great passing.
Keep up the team work girls.
front again pocketing two goals

two with Jarrett Baker scoring the
game winner mid way through
the second.
Assists: Noah Mitchell, Jarrett
Baker, Jared DenOtter and Drew
Horner (2).
Solid passing was the key to the
success of this young team show-
ing strong positional play and
teamwork.
SH 2 versus Petrolia 1
The long road trip to Petrolia
had a positive outcome as well,
but it was the result of another
fine goaltending performance by
Owen Kuranyi that brought the
two points home.
Owen allowed only one goal
to eek by him while all the other
rubber he faced was turned aside.
A wee bit helter-skelter compared
to Saturday s play, but Brett Reid
was able to finish a nice passing
play from McEwan and Mitchell
out of the corner to tie the score at
one mid way through the game.
Shortly after that, Drew Horner
had a nice goal set up on Noah
Mitchell s second assist of the
game, to put the Sabres in the lead
and come out 2-1 victors.
Keep up the solid work fellows
and get ready for the next battle in
Lucan this Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
and our home game on Saturday
against St. Thomas at 4:30 p.m. in
Huron Park.

Goalies: Lucas and Jeremy
Goals: Evan Winbow (3), Brett
Bryson and Kean Dwyer
Assists: Evan Hardie, Evan Win -
bow, Brett Bryson, Jake Denotter
& Wesley Dearing
Comments: After St Marys
quick goals, the defence tightened
up and forwards sprang into ac-
tion. Everyone lifted their heads
and worked for the team, hard to
do five down, but with great mo-
tivation from the coaches and
confidence in their each other we
succeeded in getting five unan-
swered goals. The hat trick scored
by Evan was amazing, and a great
glove save were the highlights.

had a lot of shots on goal and a lot
of possesion but did not convert.

the score within reach.

Comments: We tried really hard

mark, sometimes we bunched up
a little, but the passing was great
and the teamwork was brilliant.
excellent defence work by Den-
ver, Jacob, Wesley and Jake. Ty-
ler, Stephen, Ryan and Drew all
had shots on goal (Drew scored
a brilliant goal a few weeks ago).
