E-mail us at info@brusselslive- stock. ca Total Receipts 2740 head of cattle, 704 lambs and goats. Summary: Tuesday Fed steers and heifers sold on a steady market. Choice steers and heifers sold 87-92 with sales to 94.50. Second cut sold 85 - 87. Cows sold $1 - $2 higher. Thursday Veal sold on a strong market. Lambs sold on a strong active trade. Sheep and goats sold on a steady market. Friday Calves and yearlings sold on a good strong active trade. Denfield Livestock Sales Denfield Livestock mar- ket report for Tues., Oct. 14, 2008. There were too few fed cattle on offer at Denfield due to the Monday holi- day to call the market. A good offering of cows sold actively at fully steady prices. A large offering of Holstein bull calves trad- ed actively at prices show- ing improvement. A light run of stockers sold at steady prices. Choice steers 82-86, plain steers 70-80, Good heifers 82-86, plain heifers 70 - 80, Good fed cows 60 - 70, D1 & D2 cows 45-55, D3 & D4 cows 35-45, Shells 25-35, Good beef bulls 60-70, Good holstein bulls 55-62, Good started holstein bull calves $75 - $140, Plain holstein bull calves $10 - $60. Bob Scott of Elderton consigned two steers averaging 1225 lbs. selling for an average of 85.26. With one herf steer weighing 1255 lbs. selling for 85.50. Heifers There were 30 heifers on offer.
