Community kitchen cooks again Nov 4

ZURICH - Anyone wanting to
go to the Right to Life annual
dinner in Stratford on Thurs.,
Nov. 6 held at the Arden Park
Hotel are to call Bell Soudant
for tickets $25 per person as
soon as possible. Alex
Schadenberg will be the guest
speaker.
There was a good turn out at
the Community Kitchen held on
Oct. 7 at St. Peter's Lutheran
Church hall. We enjoyed all
working together with those
from the Zurich area and Grand
Bend making some delicious
chili and a variety of muffins.
The next cooking night will be
on Tues., Nov. 4 at 7 p.m.
The Saturday youth bowling
league are having a Quilt Draw
at the Town and Country Lanes
as a fundraiser for the kids,
which is on display there now.
Special thanks goes out to
Doug McBeath and Carl
Finkbeiner who took care of
watering all the flower baskets
in town this summer, and they
really did look nice.
Annual fall supper
Plans are being made for the
delicious Annual Fall Supper at
the Lutheran Church on Sat.,
Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. Tickets are
now available for $12 adults,
and $6 for six to 12 year olds.
Everyone is welcome, get your
tickets early as they sell out
fast.

Thiel is arranging his famous
all day bus trip to
Frankenmuth, Michigan on
Bridge Club
in Exeter

Congratulations to Melody and
Michaela Cyr who took part in
the Tri-Star TaeKwonDo com-
petition/tournament held in
London on Sat., Oct. 4. Melody
finished first place in both pat-
terns and sparring bringing
home double gold and a trophy.
Michaela competed for the first
time bringing home a bronze
medal for sparring. Way to go
girls! Their happy parents are
Colleen and Mike Cyr of Zurich.
