That was the opinion of Exeter pilot and Young Eagles organizer John Biemers, after bad weather again forced the cancellation of the Young Eagles Day at Sexsmith Airport on Sept. 13. The event was to have seen pilots at the airport take children up for their first flight as part of the Young Eagles program to introduce children to avia- tion. Biemers said visual flight rules most of the planes and pilots at the airport fly under require a 1,000 foot ceiling and three mile horizontal visibility. Biemers and fellow pilot and organizer Wayne Steeper said the planned event received tremendous support from the community and several groups have approached the pilots to support it. Biemers said there were 120 kids reg- istered to fly with more expected, but all the applications will be kept and the children will be contacted next May or June. (photo/Pat Bolen) WHY ARRANGE A FUNERAL IN ADVANCE? Three important reasons come to mind. Pre -planning permits free choice, makes one's wishes known and does away with any possible disagreement among the bereaved as to what to do and how much to spend. In effect, one eases the burden placed on the immediate family - in terms of both the proper course of action to follow and the peace of mind in knowing that arrangements have been made in advance. We'll respect your wishes. & Ya.
