The covered entry, a boon in inclement weather, is slightly recessed. The double doors lead into a foyer with a grand 14 -foot ceiling. To the right, separated from the foyer by a half -wall, is the formal dining room with a double set of windows looking out to the front garden. From the foyer, the living room lies directly ahead, welcoming guests and family members alike. Also featuring a dramatic 14 -foot ceiling, this room has deep windows that look onto a spacious sundeck. Access to the sundeck and the adjoining covered deck is through a doorway from the family room, which shares a two-way fireplace with the living room. The open -space family area includes a breakfast nook that occupies a bayed -out space. Light will flood into both these rooms, was well as the kitchen, through generous windows. The kitchen is separated from the family and breakfast rooms by a work island with a curved eating bar on one side. The handy phone desk, adjacent to the walk-in pantry, might also accommodate a computer. Next to the pantry is a powder room, one outside wall of which is a display area, the ideal spot for collectibles and knickknacks. A second display area is located across the hallway from the dining room. The laundry room, which contains a large coat cupboard, enjoys access to the three -vehicle garage and can double as a mud -room. On the opposite side of the home, overlooking the back garden, the master suite also enjoys access to the sundeck. A built-in entertainment unit will contain the TV and stereo equipment. The enormous walk-in closet will be roomy enough for any couple's clothing, and the ensuite's soaker tub, located in a bay -windowed nook, will provide a wonderful spot to relax after a busy day. The ensuite's two sinks are separated by the doorway, offering each member of the couple his or her private space. A shower stall is also included.
