The idea of letting a wound "breathe" can cause healing to delay. Apply some petroleum jelly (i.e. Vaseline) and this will keep the wound moist. In 1900, the life expectancy in Canada was 47 years. Today, Canadians can expect to live an average of 80.4 years. Women continue to outlive men. Girls born in 2005 will live 4.7 years longer than boys. B.C. residents have the highest life expectancy (81.2 years) while Canada's three northern territories have the lowest at 76.3 years. Flossing is an important part of good dental hygiene. The first dental floss was made commercially out of silk back in 1882. We all know the value of flossing to our general health but we don't really floss as much as we should. Once daily before bedtime is an absolute minimum. Do you floss daily? Electroconvolsive Therapy (ECT) was first developed in Italy in 1937.
