Blue Water Rest Home's redevelopment project Sept. 12
By Carmel Sweeney
ZURICH CORRESPONDENT
ZURICH - The Bean Festival was
another big success; lots of people,
good food, a variety of booths, rides
for the kids etc. We had especially
beautiful 'hot and sunny' weather for
our annual event.
The streets were lined with people
Friday night to watch the car show
cruise which was really good. We had
a lot of antique cars show-
ing up from various places.
This was a great evening
to sit at the park and watch the terrific
fireworks display put on by the Zurich
Firemen - wow they were just awe-
some!
Saturday morning's breakfast and
the evening's dance at the complex
were also a success. Thanks to the
Zurich Minor Athletic Association and
all volunteers!
Congratulations go out to the lucky
winners of the quilts being Barb
Robinson who won the Blue Water
Rest Home Auxiliary quilt; Sister Mary
Regier won the St. Boniface CWL quilt.
Special thanks to the 43rd annual
Bean Festival committee along with all
their many volunteers who are to be
congratulated. Another job well done!
Paul Morrison is happy to announce
the arrival of his 2nd grandchild
Cameron Robert Paul who was born
on Aug. 9 to proud parents Ryan and
Amy Morrison of London.
A buck and doe was held for Brad
Masse and Laura Parsons on Aug. 15
at the complex with several relatives
and friends attending.
Brad is the son of Rick and Karen
Masse of RR 3 Zurich and the couple
are planning to be married in October.
Josephine Denomme of the Blue
Water Rest Home along with her
daughter Deborah and Jim Gavan and
Alison of Camlachie recently spent a
week in Calgary and attended the
wedding of Anna Denomme (on Aug.
16) who is the daughter of Fred and
Toni Denomme.
