By Carmel Sweeney
ZURICH CORRESPONDENT
ZURICH - A lovely evening
and dinner was enjoyed by
members of the Sweeney
and Van Osch families (15 in
all) when we helped our
daughter Carrie Eybergen of
Grand Bend celebrate her
44th birthday on Saturday at
Eddington's in Exeter.
Carrie's daughter Tiffany
was also here from Chicago
visiting for five days last
week.
A buck and doe was held
for Darryl Smale (son of
Sylvia) and Kelly Rutten on
Aug. 8 at the complex in
Zurich. The couple are
planning to be married in
October.
May we offer our sympathy
to the family and relatives of
the late Lylyan Greb who
passed away on July 29 at
101 year's old from
Queensway Nursing Home in
Hensall and formerly of
Zurich. Condolences espe-
cially go out to her son Glen
of RR 3 Zurich.
Mary -Lou Denomme is
happy to announce the
arrival of her 27th grand-
child being Kylie born on
July 27 to proud parents
Angela and Dave Clarke of
Stratford.
Patti and Steve Geoffrey
are happy first time grand-
parents to baby girl Dilynn
Jean Anderson who was
born on Aug. 4 to Rebecca

A buck and doe was held
for Elizabeth Groot and
Bryan Stuckless on Aug. 1 at

Zurich. The couple are
planning to be married in
September.
Our daughter Meagan
Sweeney of Toronto (who is
an event planner and travels
to various places) was
recently in Vancouver doing
an event at Whistler, B.C.
She visited with Brittany
Eybergen for a couple of
days and had just gone
through on the Sea -to -Sky
Highway near Porteau Cove,
B.C. the same afternoon that
the rock slide blocked the
road at 11 p.m.on July 31 as
she and others were driving
back to Vancouver to catch a
flight at the airport to
Calgary to do another event.
(I still can't believe it!)
Keith Volland and Flora
along with his sister Lola
Nixon of Hensall recently
travelled to Windsor in July
for five days and visited his
brother Gerald and Ladeena
Volland. All enjoyed going
to see a live concert of
Randy Travis and Neil
Sedaka at the new "Caesar's
Colosseum" at the Windsor
Casino which has been all
renovated and looks really
nice. Kenny Rogers had also
entertained there in July.
