(photos/Nina Van Lieshout) South Huron man in custody after shooting SOUTH HURON — A South Huron man is charged with attempted murder and pointing a firearm after a 65 -year-old South Huron man was shot in the abdomen. James Gould, 64, appeared at the Goderich Courthouse by video from jail Monday morning. According to the crown attorney's office there is a publication ban on the court appearance. On Aug. 9 Huron OPP responded to a 911 call of a shooting incident that occurred around 11:45 a.m. on Parr Line, near Huron Street in South Huron. Police arrived at the scene to find the 65 -year-old South Huron man suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen, and as a result of the injury the male was airlifted to London Health Sciences where he remains in stable condition. The suspect and the vic- tim were know to each other. A firearm was seized at the scene by the police. The investigation contin- ues and further updates will be made available as the investigation progress- es.
