ACCOUNTING CLERK
The Municipality of Bluewater is seeking a highly
motivated and detail -oriented Accounting Clerk to
join the Administration team.
Reporting to the General Manager of Corporate
Services, the essential duties and responsibilities
for this position are the preparation, issuance and
distribution of payroll cheques, the preparation,
issuance and distribution of the account
receivables, and responsible for the Accounts
Payable process, all in a computerized financial
system. The Accounting Clerk is the direct
supervisor of the Reception Staff. This position also
requires knowledge of related municipal policies
and procedures, and related provincial and
federal legislation, maintains knowledge of the tax
collection process as back up to the Tax Clerks
functions.
Desired qualifications include a 2 -year college
diploma in Business Administration or equivalent;
minimum two years related office experience;
excellent supervisory, interpersonal,
communication and organizational skills; and,
proficiency in computer software applications.
Experience with Great Plains/Diamond and Work
Manager software would be an asset.
