ROSS - Peacefully at London
Health Sciences Centre on
Sunday, July 20, 2008 Rose
Marie (Vecsi) Ross, surrounded
by her family in her sixty-first
year. Rose Marie was born in
Tilsonburg on February 19, 1948
to Gerald and Mary Vecsi; who
in 1967 built the Candle Light
Restaurant. Rose graduated from
South Huron District High
School and the Goderich
Business College. She helped
manage the Candle Light,
worked as a commercial copy-
writer at CKNX in Wingham,
and with her husband John, she
operated the Dairy Dip in Grand
Bend. Her infectious laugh, her
generosity, and her sense of
humour will be sadly missed by
all who knew her. She is sur-
vived by her husband John, her
children Tanya Ross (Kendra
Pearson) of Stratford, and Nathan
Ross (Renee Chauvin) of Grand
Bend, her granddaughter Aden
Ross, her sister Darlene Brooks,
her brother-in-law Hany Brooks,
and two nieces Amanda and
Kristin. Visitation took place at
McCallum and Palla Funeral
Home on Wednesday, July 23.
The funeral service was held
Thursday July 24 at Knox
Presbyterian Church officiated by
Reverand Bill Vanderstelt.
Pallbearers were Harry Brooks,
John Gilvesy, David Gilvesy,
Grant Gilvesy, Craig Overholt,
and Darren Giles. Interment was
at Maitland Cemetery. In lieu of
flowers, donations to the London
Health Sciences Critical Care -
Trauma Centre would be greatly
apreciated. (31)
