and heifers sold 93 - 97 with sales to 99.75. Second cut
sold 91 - 93. Cows sold on a good strong active trade.
Thursday
Veal sold steady. Lambs, sheep and goats sold steady.

Calves and yearlings sold $4 - 5 higher.

Report for Tues., July 1.
Here at Denfield the receipts were
light due to the holiday. The fed cattle
traded active at fully steady prices.
Good cows were in good demand at
prices 2 -3 higher. A large offering of
holstein bull calves traded slightly bet-
ter for the good started calves. A light
run of stockers traded actively at fully
steady prices.

Cover Crop Protection Program
Agricultural producers enrolled in production insurance who were unable to seed commercial
crops in the spring of 2008 due to flood -damaged land may be eligible for financial assistance
under the Cover Crop Protection Program (CCPP).
Eligible producers can receive $15 per acre to restore and protect wet cropland. Producers
are required to contact the CCPP before July 15 if they have 10 or more acres of unseeded
land due to flooding or excessive moisture.
