The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) is providing parents with a fun and educa- tional summer activity for children ages five to 10. (photo/Pat Bolen) Conservation Area. Nature Day Camps start on July 16 and run July 30, Aug. 13 and Aug. 27. Day camps run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and staff will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for early drop off and late pick up. Each day will be filled with activities including games, hikes and experiments with a focus on experi- ence and exploration in a natural environment. "It's our goal to reconnect youth to nature by pro- viding hands-on educational experiences and dynam- ic programming," said Denise Biega, ABCA conserva- tion education technician. The cost of one day of the Nature Day Camp is $35 (lunch not included). Register your child for more than one day and receive a discount. The cost of the camp is $65 per child for two days, $95 per child for three days and $120 per child for all four Nature Day Camps. Space is limited, so get your registration forms in to the ABCA office as soon as possible. "Pack a litterless lunch, two snacks, water bottle, sun screen and bug spray for a great fun -filled day," states Biega.
